Any dos and don'ts for storing and cleaning fall protection gear?

Follow the label and the manufacturer’s manual first. General practice: - Store dry, out of the sun and away from chemicals, fuel, battery acid and sharp tools. Never leave a harness in a hot truck cab all day or in a wet bag. - Clean with water and mild soap, rinse well and air dry away from direct heat or sun. No bleach or strong solvents. - Do not store hardware loose with other tools; use a dedicated bag. - Keep the inspection log current and retire any item that has arrested a fall or shows damage. - Do not mark webbing with solvent pens or paint; use the attached tag. - Do not lend your harness: fit and condition are personal. A harness has a service life limit set by the manufacturer. If you cannot find the manufacture date, ask the competent person. — CrewRating Team.
